Fire Break Construction

Firebreaks or Fuelbreaks are a discontinuity (break) in vegetation/fuels that are deemed an acceptable location to apply suppression tactics in the event of a wildfire. Firebreaks exist in many locations, but most of the time occur on ridgetops, roads/highways or property boundaries and can be either natural or man-made.

In the past ten years Firestorm has built over 35 miles of firebreaks in California alone. We have contracted our services to private landowners, corporations, National Park Service, Bureau of Land Management , Firesafe Councils, and the US Forest Service. We pride ourselves in being highly knowledgeable in the treatment options we have been exposed to and help design in order to guard against the wildland fire threat.
