Fire Safe Councils

Butte County Fire Safe Council
Firestorm has worked with the Butte County Fire Safe Council for the past three years acting as the Coordinator for the Butte County Chipper Program. The Chipper Program and SNAP program are free services provided to the public to reduce fire hazard in this area.

Nevada Fire Safe Council
Firestorm was awarded a contract in 2004 with the Nevada Fire Safe Council in Virginia City to reduce the fire hazard in their area. The work included both hand thinning as well as mastication work to widen the roads for easy access for Fire Engines as well as improving the overall safety for firefighters and homeowners.

Plumas Fire Safe Council
The Plumas Fire Safe Council also took advantage of Firestorm and its chipper this fire season reducing the fire hazard along private property roads in Quincy, CA.
